Splendor returns to the Malecon and makes it more attractive to live.

SANTO DOMINGO. On August 9, the Mayor of the National District, David Collado, inaugurated the first of three sections on the Malecon of Santo Domingo, with the aim of rescuing the coastal zone of the city. The work is part of a commitment to improve the public spaces of the city.

This section has spaces for walking, exercising and cycling, as well as night lighting and 30 municipal police who will be responsible for ensuring safety.

The three phases of the redevelopment project will have an extension of 3,500 meters, with great potential to develop public spaces that allow healthy recreation and commercial activity in the area.

In addition, it was also prohibited the traffic of heavy vehicles between 12 noon and midnight on the whole seafront.

Undoubtedly, these positive changes make the area a more pleasant place to live.
